Dolly-Parton
Dolly Parton escaped the struggles of her life early on through her imaginative and creative imagination. The songs she wrote were composed before she was able to write and read. In 8 years, she was playing her first guitar. In the age of 11, she began to sing on Knoxville Tenn's radio station. She recorded her first album within the same calendar year on Gold Band Records, a small independent label. Even though she was still studying, she already established herself on the local scene. However, her goal was to be able to make music on a larger scale. She moved to Nashville following her graduation in 1964. Dumb Blonde, Something Fishy and Dumb Blonde both charted on Monument Records in 1967. Porter Wagoner's syndicated TV show was in need of a new singer at around this point. Parton joined Grand Ole Opry 1969 after having signed in 1969 with RCA Records. However she left Wagoner's show in 1974, as her own releases such as Joshua Coat of Many Colors and Jolene were charting collaborations with them. Parton was a part of the group that split after the end of their collaboration with Wagoner was the one to write I Will Always Love You and had it reach Number. 1. for the first time in 1974.
