Paula Patton was born in Los Angeles, California to a middle class family. The actress grew up with big dreams. Her most memorable roles include the film about spying, Mission: Impossible: Ghost Protocol, and the drama Precious. As a young girl Paula Patton grew up in a Los Angeles middle-class household. Her mom was obsessed with films, and she instilled an interest in films in the girl. Paula was involved in her school's co-curricular activities and particularly awed by dramatics. She enjoyed acting in stage plays along with her peers. Hamilton Magnet Arts High School produced many plays and the actress decided that acting was her preferred career. She was enrolled at The University of Southern California in the summer program, and was awed by her experience. The program awarded her a 3-month contract creating documentaries for PBS. When she was successful in completing the project, she started being a production assistant for TV documentaries. After completing her assignment and completing her documentary, she began producing films. Although she was awed by the work, she was aspired to become an actress. She began her journey into acting by playing Will Smith's co-star for the romantic comedy Hitch. Since then, she's appeared in a number of well-known television and film shows.
